Advising

Students participate in academic advising through a collaborative educational process in which students and their advisors are partners in meeting the essential learning outcomes, ensuring student academic success, and outlining the steps for achievement of the student’s personal, academic and career goals.

Student Success Advisors are charged with guiding students, supporting them, and connecting them to resources. Part of an advisor’s job is to provide students with efficient and effective academic pathways, assist with registration and institutional procedure guidance, monitor early alerts and academic referrals, encourage whole-student health, and support students in successfully navigating university policies and procedures.

Students will be able to see their assigned Student Success Advisors in OASIS and EAB Navigate. Students will use OASIS for registration and course scheduling/planning. EAB Navigate will be used to book appointments, view advising or tutoring notes, and for faculty Early Alerts.

Please make sure to reach out to your personal Student Success Advisor throughout the semester. Students cannot register for courses without first being cleared by their Advisor. All Students Success appointments, whether virtual or in-person, can be made in EAB Navigate. For general information or questions, please contact [email protected].
