Accessibility Services

Accessibility Services is housed in Academic Success and provides individualized accommodations and services at no additional cost for students with documented disabilities. A disability is traditionally defined as a condition that impairs at least one or more major life functions. The Director of Accessibility Services develops programs to ensure that students with disabilities have the opportunity to participate fully in the Oglethorpe experience. In order to qualify for these services, students must meet established University admission requirements and program technical standards.

It is recommended that qualified students submit sufficient documentation prior to their first semester. However, students may apply for accommodations at any point in time during their academic career. Students who qualify are provided with reasonable accommodations and academic adjustments. Students without documented disabilities who are experiencing learning difficulties may participate in our AS workshops, academic coaching, and tutoring programs. If you would like to learn more about how accessibility services can help you succeed at Oglethorpe, please email to schedule an appointment.
